During a special breakfast session with Rudy Aernoudt, Chief Economist of the European Commission, the European PropTech associations came together to outline the next steps for our common future: a strong European PropTech scene.
Since our launch at realproptech.de last year in Berlin, PropTech House has made significant progress in uniting everyone around our mission to standardize and harmonize the EU PropTech market, to create a legal framework adapted to proptech with all national proptech actors and with the support of the EU Commission and finally to bring PropTech to the agenda of the EU Institutions.
Mipim PropTech Europe 2019 was the opportunity to all gather around the 2 brand new and exclusive pilot projects with a strong commitment. by the European Commission.
Our first exclusive pilot with the EU Commission started July 4th: to identify all barriers we encounter in the innovation and digital transformation in real estate in Europe (legal, funding, …), and to work with the EU Commission on removing those barriers through an adapted legal and financial framework.
Our second exclusive pilot with the EU Commission concerns our participation in a brand new funding program, which will be launched soon, of the EU Commission to drastically improve funding for European PropTech SCALEUPS.
We are proud to have our 23 national PropTech associations on board to create a strong PropTech ecosystem in Europe, and we want to thank all our Member associations for their presence and support.
Our sincere thanks go to Prof. Rudy Aernoudt for making this possible for us, and to the MIPIM Team Sophie Mathieu, Arnaud Bouzinac and Nicolas Kozubek to have hosted us.
We have embarked all together on a very promising journey, thank you!
