50 European Proptech startups participated today in Brussels in the semi-finals of the PropTech Startup Europe Awards promoted by the European Commission and implemented by Finnova Foundation, EU PropTech House and Workero.
A day of pitching in front of the 35 members of our professional international jury, but also a day for networking, interactive workshops on EU funding opportunities and 2 great speakers of the European Commission, who are supporting the EU PropTech House:
Rudy Aernoudt, Chief Economist of the European Commissionwho shared the brand new EU strategies with us and funding programs to support the European PropTech startups and scale-ups.
Massimiliano Dragoni, Senior Policy Officer, Digital Innovation & Blockchain, DG Connect, European Commission, who explained the programs and the available support to PropTech startups and scale-ups, as well as the vision of the EU on the future of blockchain in Europe.
The European Commission is working with the EU PropTech House to help achieve its most important goals: the mission of the EU PropTech House is to support the national PropTech associations, to support a sustainable European PropTech market and to create a positive impact on the European living environment and beyond. The objectives will be to facilitate access to EU Funding, scale-up cross-border collaborations, to standardize and uniform the European PropTech markets to create a legal framework adapted to the PropTech, fostering innovations in Real Estate.
Today’s winners (10) are invited to the final live-pitch session in Paris, July 1st & 2nd 2019, in the presence of all the jury members, Rudy Aernoudt, Chief Economist of the European Commission, Prof. Juanma Revuelta of Startup Europe Awards and board members PropTech Poland, PropTech NL, PropTech South East Europe, Finnovating (Spain) and PropTech Lab (Belgium).
The ceremony for the PropTech Startup Europe Awards will be the closing act of MIPIM PropTech 2019, Paris.

The Proptech StartUp Europe Awards is a brand new category within the StartUp Europe Awards’ framework (24 categories), promoted by the European Commission and implemented by Finnova Foundation, which presents a prize methodology for startups at local, regional and national level, fostering the open innovation and the collaboration between the different actors of the European ecosystems, through the private-public partnership supporting new entrepreneurs.
Finnova is a European foundation based in Belgium, Romania, Panama, Chile, and Mexico devoted to the promotion of start-ups and innovative initiatives for the collaboration between public and private entities relying on the tools offered by the European Union.
